Christoph Raab (an Earth Observation (EO) expert working at University College Cork) has just published a superb paper in Remote Sensing Letters on the evaluation of different atmospheric correction strategies for land cover monitoring in Ireland. Accurate atmospheric correction is a crucial preprocessing step for studies of land cover mapping using optical satellite data and this study provides a comprehensive assessment of the different strategies available. The paper can be downloaded from here (or simply click on the image below) for free (first 50 downloads only). For more information, please contact Christoph at firstname.lastname@example.org
The authors gratefully acknowledge the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for funding and supporting this research as part of the Towards Landcover Accounting and Monitoring (TaLAM) project. The comments of the anonymous reviewers are also greatly appreciated.
